What is Functional Medicine?

Functional Medicine is defined as a system of biological science-based approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause of disease. The functional medicine model for health care is concerned less with what we call the dysfunction or disease, and more about the dynamic processes that resulted in the person’s dysfunction. This model addresses the whole person, not just an isolated set of symptoms.
