When Restylane was 1st FDA approved in 2004, Eileen was the 1st trained nurse injector in the triangle area. Previous to Restylane, Eileen injected collagen for 10 years. This gel product works well for a lot of Eileen’s patients because a small amount of product injected in specific areas creates immediate results that give her patients their desired look, whether it be a full correction or minor enhancements. Belotero Balance

Belotero Balance is a prescription injection that is approved to temporarily smooth and fill hyaluronic acid into nasolabial folds, which are the wrinkles found from the side of the nose to the corner of the mouth. Belotero is specifically approved to treat wrinkles and folds, rather than shape or contour the skin. The technology used in this product delivers smooth, natural, and gentle results when filling those vertical lip lines. This filler tends to last about 6 months in many patients. Your appointment will be 30–45 minutes, but please let us know if you need to come in 30 minutes early for numbing.

Juvéderm

As we age, our skin changes and we can lose the natural volume in our face. Wrinkles and folds then begin to form. Juvéderm is an FDA-approved gel-like product used to treat cheeks, lips, chin, lines, jawline, undereyes, and temples. Juvéderm replaces lost hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring sugar found in our body that we lose as we age, adding volume to smooth away facial wrinkles. With its unique smooth-gel properties, as well as robust-gel structures, Juvéderm will look natural and hold its form for up to one year.

Juvéderm Ultra Plus XC: To add volume to the lips and smooth the surrounding perioral area.
Juvéderm Volux XC: To enhance jawline definition.
Juvéderm Voluma XC: To restore volume in the cheeks, enhance the chin’s shape and definition, and fill hollowing in the temples.
Juvéderm Vollure XC: To smooth moderate to severe facial lines and folds, including areas like the nasolabial folds.

Restylane

Restylane is an injectable that smooths moderate to severe wrinkles, adds volume to facial tissue, and restores youthful contours. This product is versatile enough to be used for nasolabial folds, laugh lines, marionette lines, lipstick lines, corner of the mouth downturn, chin depression, and lip enhancement. Restylane is the only filler to be used for tear troughs by an expert injector, and using Restylane in this area is considered “off label.” This product works by replacing volume lost with the absence of hyaluronic acid (HA), which keeps skin full and elastic. You can expect immediate results with Restylane products. These appointments usually last 30–45 minutes and numbing cream is available but not always needed. Eileen utilizes multiple different types of Restylane fillers to reach the needs and desires of her patients. Patients report that these results last up to 18 months with a follow-up treatment at 4.5 to 9 months.

Restylane Contour: To restore and create a smooth shape for the cheeks.

Revanesse

Revanesse, or Versa, uses thixotropy technology which untangles hyaluronic acids (HA), making the gels able to flow under stress and return to a solid state at rest. This technology closely resembles the body’s hyaluronic acid and is less likely to be recognized as a foreign substance by the immune system. This filler removes residual toxins and foreign substances, leaving it as a very safe option. Clinical studies show that there is minimal swelling and pain with Revanesse and it also provides patients with 20% more product per syringe. This appointment will last for 30–45 minutes and may require numbing cream, but please let us know if you need a numbing agent because we will have you come in 30 minutes early.

RHA Collection

The RHA collection is made to closely resemble the hyaluronic acid in your skin for a natural look that addresses moisture, volume, and structure. The RHA collection is the latest advancement in hyaluronic acid filler because of its resilience to move seamlessly with dynamic areas of the face and is the first FDA-approved collection of fillers for dynamic wrinkles, folds, and lines. Dynamic wrinkles and folds can be found in areas of the face that move repetitively, so this filler is resilient enough to adapt to this movement. This collection lasts up to 15 months in wrinkles and folds and 1 year in lipstick lines. This filler appointment will be about 30–45 minutes, but please let us know if you need to come in 30 minutes early for numbing cream, which is sometimes used for these appointments.

We can even use this procedure to lift the earlobes if they’re suffering from prolonged earring use. Please notify us if you are on immunosuppressants, if you have a bleeding disorder, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use filler if you have a history of severe allergies. If you have previously suffered from cold sores, please inform your injector prior to your treatment.

There is minimal downtime for most filler appointments; however, it is important to understand it takes a full 14 days to see the final effect. Some redness, bruising, swelling, and mild tenderness may occur. We have many products in the office that can help enhance healing, speed up results, and prevent bruising. These products can be discussed during your free consultation.

Risks and
Considerations

Seven days before your appointment please discontinue blood thinners. Three days before your treatment please avoid any Tretinoin (Retin-A), retinols, retinoids, glycolic acid, alpha hydroxy acid, or any “anti-aging” products. Avoid waxing, bleaching, tweezing, or the use of hair removal cream on the area to be treated. Twenty-four hours before your treatment avoid exercise and alcohol. Please show up to your appointment without any makeup on. You may experience a mild amount of tenderness or stinging sensation following injection; this can last for a few hours up to a few days. Redness, bruising, and swelling can occur following injections and is normal. Some tenderness and bumpiness up to 7 days after your appointment can be a minor side effect. The results of your treatment can take up to 14 days to take full effect, though many patients notice a change in 4–6 days. If you require touch up, it can be done after the full 14 days. Do not rub or massage the area for 24 hours and avoid working out, alcohol, saunas, steam rooms, sun exposure, and facials for at least 48 hours after your appointment. If you have previously suffered from cold sores, please inform your injector prior to or during your treatment, as needle punctures could contribute to a recurrence. Do not receive filler if you have a history of multiple severe allergies or if you have a bleeding disorder. Please let us know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

There is a slight poking sensation, but numbing cream is always available and usually used around the mouth area. Please schedule numbing time 30 minutes before your appointment, if needed.

Depending on the patient, some touch-ups might be required. If so, please wait the full 14 days before creating your follow-up appointment. Other than that, your filler can last anywhere from 6–18 months, but it is different for every patient and for every area injected.

You can wear makeup immediately after if needed, but if so, please apply gently. However, we suggest waiting the full 24 hours before using makeup products.
